The Greater Zion Office of Convention & Tourism is a department of Washington County, Utah.
Most destinations – from around the state of Utah to across international borders – have organizations in place for the sole purpose of overseeing tourism tax monies. They operate under names such as convention and visitor bureaus (CVBs), destination management organizations (DMOs), or other variations of “tourism office.” Greater Zion is one of many such offices.
As a government entity, we consider ourselves public servants. We are stewards of the taxes that visitors pay when visiting our area, and we are responsible for investing those monies into projects that enhance the quality of life for visitors and locals alike.
We are funded by a 4.25% Transient Room Tax (TRT), which is collected from visitors staying in hotels and vacation rentals. Through promoting visitation, securing groups and meetings, facilitating sporting events, and supporting destination development efforts, more than $30 million in TRT funds have been invested to support development and infrastructure projects throughout Washington County over the past decade.
The dedicated team at the tourism office plays a pivotal role in driving the local economy forward. If this website doesn’t have the answers you need, pick from our team of specialists below and contact one of us for more help.
